Central Coast StoryLab is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 39-4502171). This notice describes what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and who we share it with.

What we collect

Contact form submissions

When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, organization (optional), and message. We use this information to respond to your inquiry. Contact form data is processed by a Cloudflare Worker and delivered to us via email. We do not sell or share contact form submissions with third parties.

Studio recordings

When you record at a StoryLab location, we capture audio and video of all participants. These recordings contain voice data and facial imagery, which may constitute biometric identifiers under applicable law. We record only with the knowledge and participation of everyone in the session.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and referring source. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on .

How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Contact form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Studio recordings are stored on secured equipment with access limited to authorized staff and production partners.

Your choices

Children

Our services are designed for nonprofit organizations, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a minor participates in a studio session, their parent or guardian must consent to the recording.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
